Frequently Asked Questions:
How do I prepare the wood surface of my shuffleboard table?
The wood on your Playcraft shuffleboard playfield is protected by a poly coating that is poured or sprayed depending upon the model. There is no need to “treat” the wood on the playfield. If desired, speedwax can be applied directly without any additional preparation by sprinkling the wax evenly across the length of the table. Optionally, If the playfield is dirty or dull, it can be cleaned and shined first by using Playcraft cleaner / polisher. We additionally recommend using Playcraft silicone spray before applying the speed wax. This creates an even distribution of the wax and avoids “plowing” of the pucks resulting in the best performance.

How do I shape my shuffleboard playfield?
Your playfield should be very slightly concave, such that a piece of paper just fits under a straight edge placed across the table. Playcraft tables are unique in that even our entry line tables use pro style adjusters for maximum effect and tunability. It is important to remember that to shape the playfield it must not be connected to the cradle floor. Please make sure that any shipping screws on home style tables ( Woodbridge, Georgetown, Montauk, etc) have been completely removed. There are no shipping screws on pro style tables ( Telluride, Brazos, Etc.). Please follow the adjusting instructions here. The Extera playfield is not adjustable.
Can my table be used in a garage or 3 season room?
Only Playcraft tables identified as “Outdoor” can be used in garages or 3 season rooms. All other tables must be used indoors in a climate controlled environment
Is the table I selected appropriate for commercial use?
There are specific Playcraft models that are designed to withstand the rigors of use in commercial or institutional locations. These tables include a warranty appropriate for these settings. If you are considering a table for an application other than single family residential, please inquire if that table is appropriate for that location. Using a table in an application for which it is not intended will void the warranty.
What is curbside shipping?
Many of Playcraft’s dealers sell our tables using curb side shipping. If you purchase with this shipping mode, It is important to understand what this will mean when you take delivery. Curbside identifies the truck position for unloading. With this method, the trucking company will call you to schedule an appointment with a M-F delivery window. Someone over 18 must be home to receive and inspect the shipment. Your order will arrive by tractor trailer with one driver. The driver will get the truck as close as possible to where your driveway meets the curb. If liftgate is available, the driver will move the goods to the ground using a 54” deep mechanical lift gate when possible. If the shipment is too long for the lift gate, as in the case with most shuffleboard tables, you will need to take delivery from the back of the truck.
